Carlinville Area Hospital is a 25-bed community hospital that provides a wide range of inpatient, outpatient and emergency services. Patients can be admitted to the Hospital for medical, surgical or pediatric care. A variety of other services are available to patients on an inpatient and outpatient basis through the Hospital's Therapy, Cardiopulmonary, Radiology and Laboratory Departments.
There are eight doctors on the Active Medical Staff that represent General Practice, Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Surgery. More than 25 physicians, representing 14 medical specialities, are available to see patients locally through the Hospital's Outpatient Services Department.
Emergency Medical Services offered by the Hospital include an Emergency Department staffed around-the-clock by "emergency medicine" physicians. Skilled nursing and rehabilitative care is provided through the Swing Bed Program.
