Carlinville Area Hospital Foundation and Carlinville Area Hospital hosted their 3rd Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, September 19, 2008, at Carlinville Country Club. More than $17,000 was received for Carlinville Area Hospital Foundation building fund to be used towards the cost of the new replacement hospital.
A total of 28 teams participated in the Four Person Scramble tournament. Golfers were treated to ideal weather and good food and refreshments throughout the day. Cash prizes were awarded to the top four teams along with the middle and last place teams.
Competition was fierce on the course with First Place won by the Ed Bates Concrete Unlimited team, which included Ed Bates, Karen Bates, Howard Schulz, and Yvette Schulz. Sponsors for the event included:
