Carlinville Area Hospital Foundation received a $200 contribution from the Carlinville Illinois Federation of Business and Professional Women (IFBPW). “We are just so thankful for Carlinville Area Hospital and feel blessed that there will continue to be a hospital in our community,” stated Vicki L. Dechman, President of Carlinville IFBPW. Their mission is “women helping women of all ages and life stages” and the goal is to assist people both personally and professionally through education and career training.
The Carlinville Illinois Federation of Business and Professional Women was chartered in 1931 and is affiliated with the Illinois Federation of Business and Professional Women and the McCarrey Region IFBPW. They work on many projects. One project includes scholarship awards. The scholarship is funded through Carlinville IFBPW Christmas House Tour receipts and is presented annually to area women. They also present monetary donations to area civic organizations for use in funding community projects and programs through bulb and baked goods sales.
To date, the Hospital has received a total pledge amount of $5 million from anonymous donors and a second anonymous donor has pledged $3 million to match $3 million in community pledges. Thus far, the Hospital has received $1.62 million in community pledges. Individuals interested in making a pledge or those who would like more information on the Capital Campaign may contact Jamie Buchanan, Director of Development/Campaign Coordinator, at 217-854-3868 or email at jbuchanan@cahcare.com.
