Carlinville Area Hospital’s new facility will officially open on Saturday, July 31, 2010. At 8 am that morning, the Emergency Department at the current location, 1001 E Morgan Street will close; simultaneously, the Emergency Department at the new facility will open.
Throughout the day, Carlinville Area Hospital staff will move existing patients to the new location at 20733 North Broad Street just west of Route 4 north.
Carlinville Area Hospital has secured the services of a professional moving company that specializes in helping hospitals and health care facilities relocate. Vendors will also be on hand to help with the transport of sensitive medical equipment.
“We are committed to making sure our patients’ transport to the new facility is as comfortable as possible,” stated Ken Reid, CEO. “We will have extra staff available as well as volunteers to help ensure a smooth transition. We have spent many hours working with the Hospital’s Relocation Team to prepare for move day.”
