Marilyn Randol is retiring after 28 years with Carlinville Area Hospital. Marilyn started at the Hospital on November 30, 1977 as an Environmental Tech in the Housekeeping Department. Her last shift ended at 2pm April 9, 2006.
Marilyn has been a very dependable employee and always willing to help out. She often worked overtime and on her scheduled days off in order to help fill the staffing needs of her department. Her co-workers have described Marilyn as a person full of laughter and the one who keeps everyone smiling with her sense of humor.
A retirement luncheon was held for Marilyn on Thursday, April 7, 2006 in the Hospital’s Lower Deck. Hospital employees had an opportunity to say goodbye and wish her well. Marilyn will be greatly missed by her fellow co-workers and also by the patients who enjoyed her smiling face and sense of humor throughout the years.
