September - 2010CAH’s 1st Annual Golf Tournament a Success
Mid-Mac Foundation and Carlinville Area Hospital held their first annual golf tournament on Friday, September 15, 2006, at Carlinville Country Club. Over $6500 was netted and will be directed to the Mid-Mac Foundation to provide direct support for the Hospital in providing many health care services in the communities it serves.
The tournament, which was a Four Person Scramble, was originally limited to the first eighteen teams, but, because the Hospital received such an overwhelming response from the community, the number of teams was expanded to twenty-two.
Cash prizes were awarded to the top five teams. The first place prize was shared by Ronald Bodtke, Dee Ketchum, Mike Gutherie, and Steve Sandino. Three teams tied for second place and divided the prize money for second, third and fourth places. Those team members included Aaron Stayton, Brad Ambuel, Steve House, and Mike Kirk; Kenny Hicks, Mike Cox, Greg Beonte, and Vic Gagnor; Merl Doerrs, Ray Ripplemeyer, Brad Rippleymeyer, and Dan McCarthy. Fifth place went to Ed Bates, Kristy Bates, Howard Schulz, and Yvette Schulz.
The Gold Sponsors for this year’s event were Karmak Inc, Griffith Plumbing & Heating Inc, Landreth Lumber, Precise Specialties Corp, US Bank, Carlinville National Bank, Dixon-Dowland Financial Services, Central Illinois Steel Co., Gregg L.
