“Lifeline” Home Response System
Help is always available with Lifeline, a community-based personal emergency response system for elderly and disabled people living alone.
The Lifeline program began in 1983 as a project of the hospital’s Auxiliary. Today, Lifeline is in more than 90 homes within 50 miles of the hospital.
The goal of Lifeline is to give people the confidence to continue to live independently in their own home. A subscriber knows that whenever they need help, it is just a button push away.
Installation of the Lifeline system is completed by employees of Carlinville Area Hospital. Subscribers pay a one time installation fee and a monthly rental fee.
