Centralized Scheduler

Position Summary:

The Centralized Scheduler is responsible for the pre-certifications and scheduling of hospital services for patients when physician's orders are internal, telephoned, faxed or brought in by the patient.  Other duties include obtaining insurance authorizations, patient pre-registrations, verifying patient diagnosis provided and testing ordered meets the Medicare Coverage Policy prior to scheduling in an effort to reduce denials by Medicare. All duties are to be preformed in compliance with the applicable laws and regulation and within the CAH&C Compliance program. 

Department: Admitting

Status: Full-Time; 40 hours per week; Non-Exempt; Days

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; or minimum 3 months related experience

Market Range: $16.00 - $26.00 / hour
