Walk-in Clinic

Dial 911 in a medical emergency.

The Carlinville Family Health Care Walk-in Clinic is open seven days a week for your convenience. No appointment is necessary and we accept both established and non-established patients. The Walk-in Clinic is an affordable and convenient alternative to the emergency room for non-life-threatening medical issues.

You do not have to be an established patient at Carlinville Family Health Care. Once your visit is complete, you can choose to go back to your primary care provider or establish with one of Carlinville Family Health Care providers. The best part is you only pay the cost of a regular office visit co-pay. This cost is typically less than an urgent care visit and much less than an emergency room visit. The Walk-in Clinic is not a replacement for your primary care provider. We do not manage chronic pain conditions and will not refill any narcotic prescriptions. We accept most insurance plans and networks.

Common reasons for visiting our walk-in clinic include:

  • Colds and flus
  • Sprains and strains
  • Fevers
  • Bug bites
  • Minor burns and lacerations
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Ear and eye infections
  • Skin rashes and infections

Walk-in healthcare services are also available at Carlinville Area Hospital & Clinics – Virden. For more information, call 217-854-3819.
