Phlebotomist / Lab Assistant - Afternoons
Position Summary:
The Phlebotomist / Lab Assistant is responsible for drawing blood or other specimens from patients in hospitals, or similar facility for analysis or other medical purposes.
Department: Laboratory
Status: Full Time (40 hours per week); Non-Exempt; Afternoons
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Market Range: $16.00 - $26.00 / hour
Competencies and Skills:
- Phlebotomist certification or prior phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of patients and/or employees.
