Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse in our Advanced Care Unit provides nursing care to the adolescent, adult or geriatric patients of the Medical/Surgical Department. This nurse has particular assignment to the advanced care beds, but may also care for acute, observation, and swingbed patients. This care is based on the assessment of the patient’s subjective and objective health care needs, coordinating and prioritizing the nursing care plan with the medical regime established by the physician or provider. The Registered Nurse is expected to possess the depth of knowledge required to plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of such care according to the Nursing Department’s standards of care and practices. Our Night and Weekend shifts are supported by a full-time House Supervisor and a full-time tele-nocturnist.
